An existing building of five floors on Corso Regina Margherita in Turin is being recovered in the new office building.
A new glazed “skin” was introduced towards the courtyard, with the function of a double ventilated facade, which expands to recompose the volume of the corner and the part of the blind front to stairs and lift.
The internal distribution of the local offices overlook a central corridor and on the first floor it integrates with the adjacent building, which has already office destination.
On the ground floor the glazed façade expands and covers the space dedicated to the conference room, with a grandstand for the public and space for the conference table. The internal supporting structure of the grandstand is in metal profiles, the walking surface and the risers in fire-retardant plywood while the covering of the horizontal surfaces is in pre-finished slats, light national oak essence.
The glazing created with the use of horizontal wooden slats refers to the company logo and the geometries soften the volumes of the furnishings with broken lines that become an integral part of the architecture of the new building.
