Preliminary, final, executive project and Direction of the works
The apartment in a nineteenth-century building in the center of Turin is transformed to accommodate the new owners, maintaining the large corner room which becomes, together with the kitchen, the central space of the house. The large existing entrance is is rationalized in the use of space and leads to a corridor equipped with built-in wardrobes (obtained in the width of the previous hallway), on which the various rooms overlook.
Where possible, the existing wooden floors have been maintained, even in the rooms modified by the new partitions, through disassembly and new installation, in addition to the replacement of the damaged portions and the polishing of all surfaces. In the other rooms was chosen a floor in large stoneware slabs.
The diffused lighting of the living room is guaranteed by LED strips along the perimeter; even in the corridor, the LED strips on the ceiling highlight the sequence of rooms that open onto it.
